Windows XP hardware profiles

Greetings everyone.

I am working on a personal/business laptop that has 3 hardware profiles. Is there a way to determine via a script to whatever other method the configuration of each profile without having to select each profile and login into it.

I was doing some reading and I guess I can choose one of the profiles, look at the registry but it does not say that is different about each profile.
