Windows 11 Requirements Crushing the Refurbishment Industry

Being a charity we have to work with the donations we get. Most of the computers are not passing their requirements. So its a big deal at our organization.
I'm having a similar problem. I need several cheap devices... and I have to choose a Linux distro like Mint (which some of the end users will freak out about) or I have to pay up for something that can run Win 11.

Thanks for posting this thread!

I do like CachyOS but I will add I found Linux Mint DE worked great for really old hardware while CachyOS and the likes needed more work after including the non DE Mint required many of the same post install work or install work arounds.

My experience is the same. My favorite Linux for most platforms is Mint Xfce. Sure I can get a shinier UI but I usually want the performance for applications and that light weight solution just works. If I want a GUI linux for any purpose it's my first grab.
