Windows 10 20H2 'Manganese' update
Microsoft has decided to release one major update and a minor update in 2020, which many of us probably appreciate.

The first major update of the year 'Windows 10 May 2020 Update' is now available for consumers, and the second feature update is codenamed "20H2," and it would be a minor release with improvements and fixes.

Windows 10's 20H2 update would be smaller in size and similar in form to Windows 10 version 1909 (November 2019 Update), which was also minor.

One major, one minor release schedule, should make it a lot easier and faster for administrators to keep their devices updated at a quicker pace.

No insult intended, but this is old news at this point.

I also don't know whether Microsoft is making this a permanent arrangement, as they have never stated that two Feature Updates, the first a major update and second minor, in a year is going to be the norm.

Absolutely nothing about Windows 10 has been very consistent. They toss things out there and wet their finger and check the direction of the wind. Marketing, the development team, and QA all have influence. Too many cooks and too few of them listening to the user base or their major clients.

In other words (and I agree completely): Business as it has been since Microsoft launched.

Microsoft has exemplified, "You will do what I want and you will enjoy it!!," ever since its appearance on the scene. What made it unique compared to what came before it was how it threw the doors open for third-parties to build upon Microsoft's work. Contrast with Apple, which remains an ecosystem virtually severed from anything outside Apple and always has been that way. I describe Apple as having, "You will become one with the Borg," as it's fundamental ethos.

There is a huge difference between the two, since there are myriad ways for the clever to add on to or get around the "what I want" of Microsoft, while it's far, far more difficult with Apple.

I first heard about the fact that 20H2 would be a minor update almost a month ago, here, https://win10.groups.io/g/win10/message/44904, and the article referenced in it: https://www.windowslatest.com/2020/05/16/windows-10-v2004-cu-confirms-20h2-would-be-a-minor-release/. It's been "making the rounds" for some weeks now.
