I have already had it hit two machines on Windows Update. So much for the May 8th date.

Have you seen any issues?

I believe my personal desktop is getting it now.

I checked yesterday, I was all up to date late last-night, so it should be smooth sailing!

Have you seen any issues?

No issues on two machines. As far as first impression changes, a couple of extra options in the install time privacy settings, an edge icon dropped on the desktop, different task view icon on the tool bar. Windows update screen shows all updates it is working on instead of being crammed in an iframe, Text labels on settings screen are placed to the right of the icons, instead of underneath. Start menu has default icons added above the settings icon for pictures and docs. Homegroups are gone.

Update: Classic Start works fine. Windows Defender system tray icon has a warning symbol on it if you are not signed in with an MS account that you need to "Dismiss" to clear the warning.

I installed it on one laptop with the media creation tool and it worked with no issues. It was nice there was no "HI THERE I'M CORTANA!!" screaming at you at first setup. I have a customer's cheap hp laptop from walmart though that is trying to do it through windows updates and taking forever. It's been a few hours and still only at 70%. Not sure how that is going to turn out.

It was a clean install. I could still hear cortana talking me through the upgrade, but I don't remember hearing "Hi I'm Cortana" at the beginning like it did before this build.

That is why, On an UPDATE, The Cortana answers have already been answered.

Personally, I'll stick with good old 7...works for me.

I do prefer 7 myself, but I run 10.

Downloaded via the media creator. and installed this morning in 19 minutes! I was rather shocked at the speed it installed.

tried three times to install it last night via Win update, and all three froze my PC, requiring a hard restart. Tried again before bed, leaving it on all night: frozen at 16% this morning. <sigh> maybe if I ignore it, it will go away. Disabled Emsisoft this morning so we'll see what happens as it tries again.

EDIT: Finally got it installed (with EAM disabled, although that may be unrelated). When I originally started to download the installer and didn't realize Windows update was also downloading it, the world stopped turning there for a bit.

I doubt very much that EAM has anything to do with it. I've got two identical systems here both with Emsisoft that updated without a hitch.
However a third system (laptop) is frozen at 99% and has been for 5 hours.
This is the third time I've tried to update this one as it gets to 88% or 92% or 99% and freezes the whole system requiring hard reset.
it also has EAM installed.
What really shunts my carriages is that it cannot be stopped from updating.
I've tried everything but it still starts the update automatically.
