Which Cloud Storage Do You Prefer?

I just started using copy.com. It starts off with 15 GBs free.

Well I use bittorrent sync to do just that without the need for any cloud storage.
Love how I can also use it to automatically backup photos and videos I take on my phone.

I wasn't aware of this option. Just read up on it and unfortunately it's going paid soon for that functionality. $40/yr.

Where did you read that?
As far as I can tell all current free functionality will stay and they are adding more free stuff plus paid stuff, when V2 comes.

None of them.

I'm a firm believer in keeping my data near me at all times. If it inconvenient to NOT have access to it when you are away from your storage medium, then so beit!

Do you(s) "REALLY" trust having your data out in the wild? What happens when the service you are using just up and disappears, along with all of your data?

Agreed.

But there's a simple solution, encrypt before uploading.

By which I mean use something else to encrypt the data first; don't simply rely on the encryption provided by the cloud service, no matter how secure they claim it is. Encrypting the data beforehand keeps you in control of its security.

I tend to avoid cloud storage where possible, but if I do put customer's backups out there, I always encrypt them first using Reflect or similar.

I believe in the onsite and offsite theory of backups for a business.
And it has to be automatic, don't count on the client to swap drives and take them somewhere. what would you do in this case besides online backup?
