A week or so ago there was a thread about where to purchase an older version of Office Pro....or someone asked "is this site legit"....I can't find that thread.

But it was an online software sales place...seemed to be located out of the mid-west of US. And some techs here said they'd purchased from them...no problems.

I normally stay away from these places...with the risk of questionable licenses, but a friend/client of mine needs to get a bunch of licenses for existing computers..so thought I'd send her this link. I just can't find that thread from last week or the week before..that had the link in it.

....anyone recall it?

If your talking about the mountainsoftware site, they are selling Office XP for $30...

For what limited functionality it had, why not go with open office or libre office?

Don't want XP...too old.
This client needs MS Access...for a customized database that they run and share on the network. With most of the network users having Office pro with Access....and mixing in a few open sourced Office suite clones...doubt the database app in it would be 100% compatible.

Need Office 2010...can no longer find it on Microsofts site to download/purchase. This one client has retail/OEM licenses, no volume. Not a full supported client of mine...so I'd rather just send her a link to purchase/download it from some legit reseller.

Interested in how your transaction goes with them.

Went very smoothly.
Ended up ordering from them twice.
Both times....received the e-mail with the license keys and download links for x86 and x64 versions with 3 hours of placing the order.

Download links are from Microsofts digital content download partners servers...msft.digitalrivercontent.net
Keys activated fine.

What does branded oem windows disk? They are about 20 cheaper than what I get them for from newegg?
