Since I'm new I thought I'd mention I've been around for a while.
I also post on the forums at techreport.com and dslreports.com under the same handle.

Where else do you guys post to talk about things in the tech community?

Nowhere.

Years ago I occasionally visited a couple other forums, but it was rarely worthwhile. Over time I stopped bothering. Frankly none of them hold a candle to Technibble for its intended purpose of supporting those of us in the biz.

Whether a general business issue, advertising, legal, marketing, website advice, technical questions, problem solving, mutual support through the ups and downs . . . you name it. It will rarely go unanswered here and the results are almost always high quality.

There's simply no other group like Technibble.

Years ago...tons of other tech forums. HardOCP...just the network part. Too many "big enterprise" snobs there. Anandtech. There's a broadband forum from the old days called Speedguide.net, I'm a mod there and friends with the guys that run it. SmallNetBuilder. WildersSecurity. Untangle.

Pretty much just hang here now, and a Harley forum. And now 'n then on Ubiquiti's forums.

Pretty much just here for the last few years. As mentioned this is the best forum out there for our business segment. Plenty of talented, knowledgable people contributing on here.

Tech related forums? None. Other forums? Plenty. But I keep my usernames unique between forums, so you can't find me by my username. Not that it matters. I haven't posted on another tech forum in the past few years. Most other tech forums are filled with whiny end users that want to be spoon fed simple answers. It's a give and take with forums.

I aim to give as much as I take, but unfortunately there's not much for me in other tech related forums except for "thanks" for helping other users and the "prestige" (if you can call it that) from being an "expert" member. But frankly, I couldn't care less what people think of me. I'm not some whiny teenager trying to prove he's somebody by impressing other anonymous people online. I don't have time for that crap. I've got a business to run!

the only other tech forum I bother with, and it's only for board repairs and suchlike, is badcaps.net. Hardly ever post there though.

i don't know any tech forum as good as this one :) so i came here on a daily basis even if i don't post as regularly as i would like :)

For computer repairs and related, I don't post anywhere else... just Technibble. For data recovery, I follow a number of forums but post only occasionally in a couple of them. I used to follow BGA Reballing (Google) Group when I was more into reballing.

Craigslist..... :p:D:eek::oops::rolleyes:o_O

Seriously though, as a consumer, you would generally look for any tech site using a search engine then visit, register and post, then pray for someone to help you but also hoping you get the correct answer or resolution.

However, as a business owner, I find no website worth my time other than here at TN. Before I found TN, yes, I was all over the place and had to deal with stupid people. Since though, I have no reason to go elsewhere for anything. If I cannot get an issue resolved here then that generally means it cannot get resolved.

So, my question to you @Aranarth, why would you go anywhere else?

Tech forums..................There's no place like home (here)!
Actually being on Technibble.com is like one big family (business).
Other forums, many.

This is the only regular forum I post in. I used to be quite involved in some gaming forums as I was an admin and tourney judge in another life. I used to post allot on some music forums, but I don't play and record anymore.
