As I mentioned in my introduction page I'm just in the process of getting my computer repair business off the ground.
I'm wondering what some of you guys that have been doing this for a while like to take with you to the job site?
I know the flash drives are a must, and it's a good idea to take some burnable CD/DVD's and an external HD for backups. I loaded the uber utility tool that Bryce loaded up for us on my flash drive. But what else?
Obviously a computer tool kit. I have a basic with screw drivers, tweezers, chip remover and installer, and the three prong grabber thing which is my life saver... I have big fingers. Do you generally run into issues where you need wire strippers and such? Being as I'm not doing any major network I don't see me needing any crimpers or the like right? Just buy pre-cut lengths for small home networks if not doing wireless anyway.
Do you carry any extra CD Drives with you? IDE and SATA? In case the home owners is crapped out? Or if you suspect it's gone do you just take it back to the shop for more testing?
Long and short of it... If you looked at your bag with what you take with you to a site. What's there? Give me every detail, down to the last strap tie.
