Weird screen problem

Hi,

I changed a screen on a Dell Inspiron 15" screen sized laptop. Standard LED screen, old screen has pressure damage. The new screen works fine through POST and Windows 10' logo, up until the login screen. There the picture breaks up with green lines. I think I might be looking at a cable issue (re-checked LCD cable seating already) or a faulty new screen panel, but I've not seen this where it is all good right up until the login screen. Also the output is fine on an external display. Anyone seen this before and can advise?

Thanks for your help.

Have you checked on a Linux boot disk? Also might be worth updating the drivers. There the 2 things that I thought reading your post. Also +1 on changing the resolution

vertical green lines? did you check refresh rate? I think i recall seeing vertical green lines when I was trying to push 4k at a higher refresh rate once

Thanks for the reples. After posting I also thought about trying a Linux disc. It worked with no problems. I then rebooted back into Windows and the problem had gone!! Fine through reboots as well. Strange one but it must've been something to do with refresh rate or resolution
