and maybe got the start menu to pop up a little faster or control panel to come up in 5 seconds instead of 15.

My control panel opens up instantly on my desktop (AMD X2 4200, 4gb) and in about a second or so on my laptop (1.3ghz celeron M, 1gb). Hell I even got dream scene running on my desktop, I run outlook 07, Eset Security, blackberry desktop, mozy backup, daemon tools, napster, and then I usually always have firefox, Adobe Fireworks, photoshop and MS word opened all the time.

Not mine, I use XP and my registry is squeaky clean.
