I was thinking about these Remote Access Trojan/Tool (RAT) and they can give you just as much control as a program such as uVNC! Why not use these instead of Logmein? Does anyone know of any of the viral/trojan versions?

This would be very interesting to compare the two.

I wouldn't, as security software may catch it, and people like seeing the tray icon indicating when you have control. Also, I'm fairly sure it's mostly the skiddy stuff like sub7 that gives you GUI control, whereas the massive botnet type stuff is like more like having SSH access, ie sending command 'spam -m thismessage.txt -a theseaddresses.txt' over IRC.

Get the source code, modify it, improve it and use it.
But would you have access to the source?
If you don't modify the source, none of the AV companies are going to give a RAT's ass about it being used for good causes.
You'll be better off writing your own from scratch ( if you got the time, skills and or money), but then you will end up in a market which is very competitive.
The times of the simple ideas which generate a good amount of residual income, are long gone.
Not much left out there to discover, invent, etc.... unless you got the means to waste enormous amounts of money and work ...
