Got an email re updates to Kabuto Live today.
Does anyone use it?
If you do are the changes worth the monthly cost?
I don't want to spend $24.50 to discover it's still crap..

At the moment Kabuto Live is AU$24.50 per month if I use it.
It would need to have some descent functionality at that price!

Teamviewer is $23.25 p/m on my current subscription.

TIA

Nope I don't use it and I don't plan on using it. Seems like any updates they end up doing will probably be just for Kabuto Live which sucks because it is a not a product I am crazy about. Looks like report, managed backup and other great features will never happen now.

I am gonna ride out Kabuto for the rest of the year probably and then just switch.

That is a damned good price for TeamViewer, even in USD, wish a deal like that was still available.

I like Kabuto Live for it's non-desktop features. Being able to see system info, poke around a drive, run cmd/powershell, without bothering the user. I'm sure other RMMs can do that too but Kabuto is my first one.

I still never have any luck getting it to connect to Windows 7 endpoints. The customer never sees the approval dialog.

If I need to do remote desktop I use the built-in Quick Assist in Windows 10 or have them run AnyDesk.

I haven't added a new client to Kabuto for a while now. I don't bother to push it any more either.
New clients get a standalone EAM only.
As current clients fall due (depending on what they want) I'll just change them to a standalone EAM and (maybe) just turn off the monitoring, just using the Kabuto app for lead generation.

I won't use Live. It's no longer in my MSP model. MAV/ Standalone AV is now what I do. Just easier. And if they want to have the maintenance and updates, etc, they can get the MAV+ tiered plan.

When I saw Kabuto I really like the concept idea, but the functionality wasn't there for me. Does anyone use any similar software targeted at technicians?
