I've been meaning to get organized and create a list of antivirus uninstallers for some time to avoid having to scour the net when I need to download or update one.

Now that it's finished, I've posted the up to date list of 30+ most common antivirus uninstaller tools (links to each tool with info/instructions about them) here:

http://techlogon.com/2012/03/25/list-of-antivirus-removal-and-uninstall-programs/

[All the info links and tools are English language versions]

Hope you find it useful.

Awesome! Some time these are needed and i don't wanna search for em (some manu's bury these things!!) now if could get one for SecureIT i would be eternally grateful!

Very nice list, thanks. I know I've spent way too much time in the past trying to find a Computer Associates uninstaller.

Nice work, you can also get them here http://uninst.ru/index/0-36.

Hadn't come across that one before - there are also other tools like AppRemover for multi vendor automation (has been reviewed here before) or Revo etc.

However, personally I prefer to get the individual tool direct from the vendor so I know it's up to date and can see what's going on - including any specific requirements such as Safe Mode or requiring reinstall afterwards. Whichever you prefer I guess.

Ketarin file for AV Uninstallers

Hi all,
I don't want to hijack this thread but i have been working to add all the AV uninstallers to a Ketarin file so i can download them and have a local copy on-hand. I have found 45 so far (some are 32bit/64/bit of same programs) but am still adding to it so its a work in progress.

If anybody has any others or newer version then please post so i can add it.

BTW, there are also Avira and Kaspersky Rescue CD links in it - i will be adding more Rescue CD's.
Just import the xml file to your Ketarin app.

Secc

I have also been doing a Ketarin file for all the free apps i install to customers machines - things like flash/java/paint.net/openoffice/cdBrrnerXP/Firefox/Chrome/MSE/Avast Free etc etc.
And i have one for all the apps on SecurityXploded - over 150 of them.
Again a work in progress but if anyone wants it i can upload the xml for you.

Please use the updated file in my post below.

Thanks

Hi JustInspired,
Thanks so much for that, Some banks here also use it but i forgot to add it (doh!).

I have also added Dr.web Rescue CD/AVG Rescue CD and BitDefender Rescue CD.

I found this site with 26 Rescue CD's on it but i have my own few preferred ones - if anyone wants a specific one adding then let me know. You can see all the Rescue CD's here:

I feel like i have hijacked TechLogons thread, my apologies to him. If you want me to do this on a new thread then i will.
