Hey all. Wondering if you all have done tv commercials lately. If so, any luck? From what i hear, lately the cost of advertisement has been decent, depending on location. Newspaper ads have done well, but i think i would like to try a new channel for a bit!!!! Something simple, putting a face to the name. Nothing the late Billy Mays would be proud of, but a test of the waters. Let me know your thoughts.

I really have no idea. But I have never seen a computer repair ad on TV so you would definitely stand out. Well I guess there was that "Finally Fast" scam. I think with TV especially, results depend on the quality of the ad. Make a good ad and it'll probably bring in lots of customers but a bad ad could completely ruin your business. I personally would be too scared to put my face on TV. I'm considering radio advertisement atm but even that I'm unsure of. I would definitely have your ad critiqued by your friends, family, and forum members before you take the plunge.

I have been kicking this around for quite awhile now but never followed through with it. Down where I am TV advertising is still quite expensive. If the cost of it like you said isn't major then I think it's worth a shot. Like computerclinic said, it's an avenue that a lot of us haven't taken so I would be curious to see how it works out. Keep us updated!

My primary focus is going to be on a local level at first, perhaps 150 mile radius. This is through local cable company. Maybe 45 - 60 second shot. I would like to cater to small businesses, me doing some onsite work for some high profile clients around town. I'm putting the project on paper right now. Just weighing options.
