What is your average turnaround time from getting a PC to it being ready for return?

I seem to be averaging about 3 days but longer for some jobs with parts.

I usually get things out within 24 hours on average but I usually say give me 72 hours at most. If it is early enough in the day I can usually get it out the same day. If it is a screen replacement or a part order then I have to wait on the part(s) to come in. As long as the people know the time in shipping they are usually easy going about it.

about the same here. After two full days in the shop, we usually call the customer with an update. People appreciate a 2 min phone call, so they don't feel in the dark about the machines progress. The hardest thing I think we have to deal with here with concerns to time, is not forgetting about a machine when other easier jobs come in.

without parts I usually state 1-2 working days, and usually have it ready by the next day

HDD's and other parts I can usually get in about 1/2 hours thanks to a half-decent local supplier

as for me, my business model is to do the repair onsite. in case I need to take the device for "advanced" fixing, I always tell them I'll bring it back in 2-3 days or call them within a day if a part needs a replacement; then work on each computer as fast as I could (2-3 days is fairly fast when compared to my competitors). under promise+ over deliver never failed me, the result always is word of mouth/referrals.

I average 2 days. I tell them 3 days, so it looks better when it is done early. Under promise and over deliver.

Same Here too. depending on work load and working being done I adjust my quoted time always adding atleast an extra day to the quote just in case something goes wrong.

"Under promise, Over deliver."
I was taught that when I first started doing repair work and I've live by it

Average turn around is 24-48 hours. If I'm waiting for a part it can take longer and I always let the customer know and keep them updated with the progress.

Most jobs are done in 3 days unless waiting for parts. Unfortunately some parts just have to come from Hong Kong

LOL! But now I wonder at this, and perhaps marvel a bit at it as well...

AMD & Intel are both u.s. companies... So while everyone fusses about what country this or that part came/come from - the brains (cpu's) come from the states... LOL. Have you ever thought of that IISJMAN07... Lol.

a watched pot never boils... (and seems to take forever) so tell them a week, and if it happens sooner hurray for you!

Most jobs I would aim to have completed within 48 hours, 72 hours at the most. Exception might be dc jack repair which I sub contract out, I tell the client in this case that the job will take 7 -10 days max
