I'm helping someone set up a new replacement laptop. Everything went well until I tried to move the 2019 Turbo Tax file. They use the Home and Business version (they run a snow plowing and landscape business). I successfully migrated the 2018 file. I copied both the 2018 and 2019 files to a 32GB flash drive and copied them to the new laptop. The 2018 file is fine. The software finds it automatically but it can't find the 2019 file.
If I go into File Manager, the file doesn't appear. I've set hidden and file extensions on. If I copy the files again from the thumb drive, it warns me that it is replacing the 2019 file!!
I did notice in Turbo Tax that their 2019 Federal & NY state returns had been rejected. Looks like he IRS couldn't verify them.
Any thoughts on why this single file won't appear in File Manager??
