Toshiba Photocopier marks on Scans

Clean the paper path first. Then, if the drum has anything on it that shouldn't be there, clean it.

edit: But, of course, keep light exposure on the drum to an absolute minimum.

If it's a photo copier then check the scanning feature. Some machines will get a mark on the document feeder and one tiny dot becomes a vertical streak.

Yes pretty sure it does
so if it sticks without rubbing off it not the fuser

lots of places are selling a drum cleaning blade so maybe that's the problem

Went to the house to help them with their iMac and the lady had bought a new toner cartridge and was attempting to take copier apart
just helping them out not getting paid for this.
with it being so old there is not much in Goole or youtube
I told them they could buy a laser all in one for $100
it like the family pet they don't want to part with it

Is it a printer as well? or is there a way to print a configuration/supplies page? If so, send something out it that didn't come from the glass. If there's no streak, it's a scanning problem not an output problem.

If it's a scanning problem all the way down the page, it's trash. That doesn't look like it has a document feeder, so a full-length line down the page on scanning on a flatbed means that something in the scan head has failed.
