[SOLVED] Strange issue with links in Firefox

I have not tested this in other pages, just Pinterest. When you click on a picture it opens the post and there is often a "Visit" or "Read it" button to click on. Clicking on that button opens an external web site in a new tab. In Firefox this site opens as a tiny little square in the upper-left corner. The entire website is in a square smaller than the icon for Pinterest in the Bookmarks Toolbar. I can right-click on this square and choose "Inspect Element" and, besides the element inspection frame coming up, so does the entire web page, completely normal.

First I tried updating Firefox. Then I uninstalled it, deleted all the folders and reinstalled. Finally I uninstalled it, deleted all the folders AND the registry keys and reinstalled. Still the same. It works fine in Chrome. I did fix an issue with one registry key having permissions denied and another corrupt key preventing any file extension from being set to open with Firefox, though.

I'm about done trying to fix this issue. I roped myself into some free rework on this one before realizing that the first time it came in, not only was this not one of the issues given, the customer didn't want to spend much money fixing it because the computer is older. But, without thinking or checking into it, I said "free", so it's free, even though the original sales order says nothing about a Pinterest issue, but does say to keep it at or near the minimum fee. If I can't fix this in an hour or so, Chrome will be the answer, but I prefer actual answers to workarounds whenever possible.

A little more info, even if I get the page to display correctly, clicking on the link again shows the tiny square. It doesn't matter if I refresh. It stays in whatever state it was in. If it's a square, it reloads in the square. If I got the page to display properly, it displays properly. If I paste the URL into the same tab (over top of the same URL), it stays the same. If I paste it into a new tab, it opens properly. It's only when following the link from the Pinterest button that this happens. It may happen on other web sites as well and probably does. Occasionally, one does open properly. It happened once, while I was checking my facts to type this, but only the one time for me so far. If I get the page to show and, with it still open, click on the link in the other tab again, tiny square. Thanks.

Don't worry about this. I'm moving on. She'll have to switch to Chrome. I've done all I'm going to for free. Thanks all.
