I had a client tell me about a former tech they used. They don't use him anymore because they moved out of his coverage area. I heard good things about him so I wanted to check out what they are doing and how they present themselves. I am very open to forming "alliances" with other Repair shops in my area, which we have and has proved to be lucrative for all parties. But I don't like tech's who I come across and instantly they get all snarly and rude with me. LOL. It's the worst thing you can do. Sometimes I client will call me and we can't get to them in the time frame they need it in (like the next hour) so we will refer them to one of our fellow tech's we like. I am certainly not gonna refer someone to an insecure and rude tech.
Back to my original reason for this. I checked out my clients former tech guy and I was just amazed at how "nobody but us" can do the job message. Basically, in his intro on home page, he basically says PC companies are shady and unreliable and more so, will try to make a profit off you abusively. I went on to read this guy's website and I am highly annoyed at his attitude toward fellow tech's. I mean, if you are good then--your good. You don't have to try to throw the rest of the local guys under the bus!!
That's another thing, "we don't profit from you"!! WTF are you talking about man?? How do you pay your bills at home? How do you upkeep your lady (if you have one)? Do you have a social life? Oh, are those clothes on you? OF COURSE YOU MAKE A PROFIT you moron!! How else would you be able to do the above?
Sorry...I am a very nice guy but I am sick and tired of the attitude alot of tech I run into harbor. I don't get it. I really do not think very highly of the character of someone like this guy who advertises that tech guys are unreliable and money hungry pigs.
Oh....and I found his google ad for his company...it says "Things Your PC Repair Guy Won't Tell You...Click Here!"
I know we all are always advertising to get business but I feel that there is a line that is there and is called have RESPECT as others have for you.
Here is his site if you want to check it out for yourself....maybe it's just me but I am sure some of you have experienced exactly this as well...and if you know you are one of those arrogant, insecure techs...why do you feel the need for this?
