Software you keep on a USB?

Has everyone given up on having an updated version of WSUS on a portable USB drive? With Win7 reaching end of life I don't use it as often, but when you arrive at that one client location with crappy inet it's a life saver!
And then a USB with Easy2Boot (or another alternative) along with all the various ISO's. I have most of my recovery ISO's like Parted Magic, Macrium Reflect, Windows ISO, Linux distro, etc that I can select from the boot menu and launch any of them. Nice handy 256GB USB and it holds it all on 1 drive (which I clone regularly so I don't have to rebuild from scratch when it dies).

I haven't given up on WSUS, although from time to time I can have a real fight to update the thing for some reason.... any time you have to update a machine that is seriously out of date, or has really slow internet.. or likely both... it's a life saver.

We all love to push Win 10 these days, and strongly suggest the customer is far better off just upgrading to 10 and leaving that fresh hell that is an out of date Win 7 far behind... but sometimes it just isn't an option. I still keep it on the off chance that the WSUS folder hanging around on my flash drive just might make one of my calls that easier to deal with.
