For Windows 10 I also have the offline .net folder from Build 10240 iso that I use a DISM command to enable. If I setup a system that command always is run. Usefull for some legacy apps.

I have my Automator project to setup new systems, plus a tonne of various tools like Autoruns, NirSoft, and the USB is bootable so I can repair an OS offline too.

my toolbox:

Monitors: Process Hacker, Process Explorer, Autoruns, Comodo Killswitch, etc...
Scanners: Emsisoft Emergency Kit, McAffee Stinger, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Comodo CE, Norton PE,Kaspersky TDSSKiller, Dr Web CureIt, Gmer, etc...
Disinfecting tools: Rkill, Combofix, Sanitycheck, etc...

I am also using most of the tools mentioned in the previous posts.

Just double checked, and I actually have WizTree. Someone on here mentioned it before as a alternative to WinDirStat and I swapped it out, but got the names mixed up in my post. For what I use it for, its fine. If there's MFT issues, then usually I'm not going to care about the data I get from this kind of tool until I solve the MFT issue anyways.

Just a heads up: i was testing WizTree and I noticed that the portable version adds an entry to the windows explorer context menu (named "WizTree" - this is probably the normal behavior for the installer version). That entry will stay there even if Wiztree is deleted or, for instance, if the pendrive where the program exists is removed. So, at that point, clicking on that entry will return an error. So better make sure to go to "Options" > and uncheck "Windows Explorer context menu" after using the program. Meanwhile I already reported this to their support.

Thanks for the heads up. Indeed the portable one adds an entry. Too bad this setting is enabled by default for the portable version, for the installed version I get it, but not for the portable one.

The developer just responded to my email saying that he will change the default in the next update.

All you need to build a PE with Fab's AutoBackup 6 Pro is there : https://forums.fpnet.fr/viewtopic.php?id=194

I am late to this party but am already loving the idea of a live Windows environment with Fab's built-in. I am very thankful for the script you wrote which integrated so nicely with the Win10pe project.

How does this work with Fab's updates or for the utilities that Fab's relies on (the nirsoft fleet essentially)? Can updates be done in the live environment or do we need to rebuild the image every few months?

Fab’s AutoBackup works only in backup mode when running in PE. The nirsoft tools do not work in this case, except Produkey and WirelessKeyView. Finally, the program can be updated in the live environment if it can access the internet. Of course, the updated version will vanish at the first restart.

Thats why I use the portable version I have in WRT while in the PE. While using the PE I can download the latest version and unpack it to the "Custom" section in WRT.
Works as normal. :D

I dont have a USB for software. I use an IODD with a SSD.

On partition 1 is SDIO, Fabs, UVK and PStart with all my programs (diagnostics to malware removal) along with a folder named _ISO for all my ISO's - Office 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 365 and Windows XP (yes, I still have clients using it), Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10. All versions of the aforementioned. On partition 2 is a Backup folder for FAB's.

Some other ISOs include Passcape, Gandalfs PE and a couple others.

I have 5 IODD's all with the same "stuff". 1 is for the main which gets updated when needed, 2 stay in shop and 2 for off-site. When any updates are needed, I update the main IODD and just copy over to the others, except for FABs. It just gets opened and then updated from there.
Never heard of this (IODD) product until your post. I love finding new gadgets I can play with. Thank you!!!

Windows Repair Toolbox has SDIO already built in. This is a good thing because it stops the confusion of getting the wrong one!

I used WRT today on a client machine.
I was able to "Fabs" their files and settings, clear a malware infection, run gSmart Control, reset DNS, host file, run Blackbird to set windows 10 privacy settings, download and install Firefox, run a .vbs to clear Windows Media Player MRU list, check for invalid certificates, run EEBC Checker, run Eternal Blues, uninstall a corrupt version of Java, change Internet Explorer's "Title Bar" back to default after malware changed it to "Powered by Gravity Bar," install my RMM and AV package, install iTunes, LibreOffice, Paint.net, restore the Windows 10 Taskbar, update Skype, install Steam, run Stop Resetting My Apps, disable/turn off Cortana, find drivers for two "Unknown Devices" in Device Manager, disable UPnP, run WizTree and tidy up with BleachBit, CCleaner and System Ninja all from WRT!.

I love this tool!

@Barcelona
In this post you indicated you did a check for invalid certificates. I was curious what exactly you did & how you did it.

Ahh! I used a little file called RCC that I got from here, which has since moved to here

I originally found it here, but unfortunately he doesn't have it any longer. :(

I've been using CTLInfo.exe (which still works) but it doesn't have the same ease of use as RCC.
It was also by the same researcher and is now also unavailable.
It stopped at Version1.20
