So how is the rollout of Windows 8 going?

Like I said in another thread, I've been selling tons of Windows 8 licences! It's truly not a bad OS; built off Windows 7, engineered for speed & performance, and very reliable! I put back the start menu, skip Metro tile screen, and replace the visual style with a friendlier looking one from Win8 RP. After is all is said and done, my customers don't notice a difference because they have their start menu back and they absolutely love it. It's fast, quick, reliable, and cheap.

At $43 a license (with tax) you really can't go wrong! I've already sold 9 licenses and will be selling a few more next week. Microsoft will be raising the price of the licenses come end of January.

Here is a picture of what it looks like after my modifications:

I agree with Altrenda completely. I have been using 8 for awhile now and actually like it. I have been showing clients how to use it and they seem to grasp it as I have not had any call backs.

My client base is anything but power users and generally they have problems with any changes I make to their systems. I'm looking at this as an opportunity to gain additional business. People will be buying new pc's with Win 8 and we will have to service them.

Agreed it is very different from what people are used to using but that does not mean it is not good. I have it running on a six year old system and have had absolutely no problems with its functionality. As a matter of fact, the system has never been as responsive as it is now.
