small network share disk, win10 suggestions.

About to build a small server, they just want a network drive all three of their computers can share with. all their computers are Win10. Should I also make the server just win10 and share the drive, or should I put trusty Win7 just so Win10 updates don't crap all over it? got a better OS solution?

What are their needs?
Literally just sharing files? If so...why not a cloud solution, OwnCloud/DattoDrive, or Sharepoint with O365?
Or..like SeeDubya mentioned above..a NAS like a Synology or QNap.
Or..does it need to share a database, and have a Windows server sharing service running...like Quickbooks or other accounting or CRM software like Act! for example. If so, I'd go with a Win10 box...Win7 is end of support in under 2 years. I have a hard time justifying selling a biz computer with a 3 year warranty shipping with an OS that expires before the warranty.
