Slight twist of screen is needed to see images clearly...

I have a Sony VAIO VGN-CS320J/P in a lovely shade of Pink that I picked up cheap due to the issues it is having. I plan to set it up for my lovely wife but I need to fix it first.

The screen works (with a twist )
when I power it up the screen displays normal and starts fading out.
I have found that if I hold the two upper corners of the screen and pull slightly on the left corner and push slightly on the right the image clears itself and stays perfect.
I have dis-assembled the laptop and checked all connections and all appear to be fine. After re-assembly I still have the same issue.
Does anyone have any insight into this type of issue?

You're lucky, we had to do a screen replacement last month on a VGN series and the screens are relativity cheap.

Well the new screen arrived and it appears that the Fedex ground people decided to kick a field goal with my box. there is a gaping hole right through the FRAGILE label.
I started the claim process with Fedex and I ordered ANOTHER screen from the same supplier.

Grrrr.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you are not having to pay for the replacement?
