Skype for business not installing on MAC

Heya all.. I know next to nothing about MAC stuff, but a client of mine has had this issue, which I have tried to Google Fu with no luck. Perhaps someone here can assist?

When she tries to install Skype for Business, it gives her three options: 1) Install for all users 2) Install only for me 3) Install on a specific disk. She is chosing install only for me. The error that follows is this:

You can not install Skype for Business Web App Plug in in this location. The Skype for Business Web App plugin installer does not allow its software to be installed here.

Not heard of that issue. Just tried it on my laptop using O365 and it installed no problem.

Any chance there is an old installation of Skype on there somewhere? I just ran in to this issue earlier this week. There was an old version of Skype that was kind of "stuck". Once I found it I couldn't initially delete it, but I was able to change the permissions and then delete it. After a reboot the Skype for business installed without a hitch.

All good options, I contacted the customer over the weekend, but she must be away. I will follow up - hopefully tomorrow - with a solution that worked. Thanks!

no problems - i came across this on a MAC as well - seems to be only an issue on MAC.

Nothings ever straight forward on a MAC!!!!
