Currently I am wearing tactical boots.

Mainly I wanted to wear boots again after getting tired of tennis shoes.
Things I like:
Waterproof - A must. Lots of puddles form outside my apartment. Was getting tired of my feet getting wet. Now I can jump into any puddle I want.
Side Zip - I hate tying shoes. Also I need to get better at it. I have to retie these every once in a while. It's great just slipping my foot in and pulling the boot on then zip it up. End of day unzip and pull off.
Safety Toe - Now I feel a little safer moving heavy objects.
Comfortable - When I had my old boots those had to break in and it was unbearable without some Dr Scholls insoles. Now I do have a pair of gel ones in here too but that's just cause I liked them. I wore them a few days before I put them in and they were fine. Also another reason I put them in is my heel seems to destroy insoles. So it's another layer of protection to help prolong the life of the boots.
Things I don't like:
Zipper Opening - To me how wide it opens up when unzipped is barely enough. I have to tug pretty good to get in there. Even just maybe another half inch would make it easier.
Lack of a pull loop - I've only had these maybe 5-6 months but I've destroyed the collars pulling these boots on. So either A) They need to make the opening bigger, or B) Reinforce the collar, or C) Add a damn pull loop.
Would I buy these again? Maybe. Maybe I could get someone to add a pull loop or reinforce the collar. But most likely I will look for a similar boot that's easier to get on. You don't have to have a zipper or even use it if you do of course but I like being able to pop my boots on and off quickly.
I don't think I'm ever going back to tennis shoes. Too flimsy for me.
Anyway that's my thoughts.
