Service procedures for computer and phone repair.

But this is not for cutomers, but for staff memebers.
Got to have lots of regular clients before you even think of staff. The starting solo time gives you plenty of time to streamline procedures.

You keep mentioning "CEO" in many of your posts and I guess you are working for someone else. Are you rushing in and trying to change how the owner does things. That in my experience is a good way to not keep your job.

Here it is..

You and who ever else is way over thinking this. Frame it like this - auto repair. Do they do all of those steps? Doubtful.

There is a thing called the KISS principle. It's called that for a reason and worth spending the time to contemplate what it means.

In my book you're going about this backwards. You need to start doing something, like repairing computers, then build the docs as needed. Are you all actually repairing anything now? If so how much? What types of repair? Nothing personal but you need the customers first.

No, I'm the one that's in charge of the IT stuff under him, but he lets me do things my way after running it by him.

ok, before I began working here my CEO was the one doing all the repairs, but since there is a lot more he has to be taking care of I was hired as the IT guy to manage is clients and build more. He as a lot of customers coming in.

Did he have any polices or procedures? Or was he simply flying by the seat of his pants with each repair?

If he has any look his over and see what you can reuse.
