I need to send a file that's about 400MB to a client. Which large file sending sites do you use. I used to use YouSentIt but it doesn't seem to be that good anymore.
I find megaupload.com the fastest for a free user to download from on the other end. So if your uploadin' a 400mb file for a client; then I'd suggest that =)
YouSendIt Free has been good to me. Setting up your own FTP server might be a good alternative. Using LogMeIn Pro, or GoToMyPC, or a flavor of VNC that supports file transfer would be some other possibilities.
As far as websites to accomplish sharing a file, there are a boatload of possibilities these days. The ones below are all active as of today. I did have to remove a few dead links from my list when I checked each of them.
Swap it! Encrypt it! is the, cheapest, easiest and fastest way to send large files on line. I didn't have to sign up or buy a monthly package! All I did was pick the file size I wanted to send, paid accordingly, and sent the file(with no further obligations). I found out just recently that Swap it! Encrypt it! isn't just for home computers but for mobile devices (iPhone, BlackBerry) too!
yousendit.com was okay for a while, but they really rape you financially...
