Samsung laptop screen flickering on startup

Have a Samsung np300e when booting screen flickers black as if screen is turning on and off. Can still access bios. Have removed ram and cmos battery with no results. Tried an external monitor cannot pick anything up on that monitor. Have no idea what the problem may be. Anyone come across this issue and have a solution?

Crack it open and check the video cable. See if it does it when you wiggle it around. Might just be a bad cable (hopefully). Otherwise it could be at the back of the screen where the cable connects. Ive had that before. If all that checks out its most likely a board issue.
