Not generating minidumps on bsod check settings the proper dir is there.

I would be looking at low-power settings, device standby settings, etc. For instance, the computer putting the SATA ports to bed or the GPU to bed during no-demand times. Try putting everything in high-performance mode and never sleep devices to save power... see if it helps. Drivers are famous for not being able to awaken these devices from their low-power states which will give you BS's or lockups/restarts.

Additionally, I'd be looking at SATA/Drive power saving - as that will cause the computer to fail writing minidumps since the drive couldn't be accessed/awoken to write.

it is running performance all sleep and hibernate turned off odd there are no other options in power settings seems like alot are missing i don`t think nvme drives can go to sleep

And you checked the "Advanced Power Settings" old-school box?

yes hard disk is not there but i did slightly overclock the laptop it is a rog by the way and it stopped blue screening while idle my guess is it is so new that the voltage in bios is a tad too little to be stable.
What is odd not find that specific model on asus website G512LI-G571-CB

This is frankly quite useless without the full stop code. Get Bluescreen viewer and post the results.

I would but it never generated a dump file so that won`t work been hours idling since i changed settings no bsod yea bsod code on screen is useless as there are 6 different bsod codes and no dumps but so far the slight overclock seems to have fixed it.

well i found the issue and a fix turns out firmware on the nvme had issues with low power mode and i backed up data and flashed the new firmware on nvme that fixed the problem.

This release of Intel® SSD Toolbox includes the following updates for Intel® Solid State Drive 660p Series

• Fixes SSD FW hang seen during D3 entry for Windows Modern Standby that may cause system timeout

• Improves power during D3 state for Windows Modern Standby

• Fixes for drive NDA during heavy workload that may cause system timeout

• Fixes for FW hang cause by host request for device wake up when device transitioning between low power states

• Addresses CVE-2020-0584, CVE-2020-12309, CVE-2020-12310 and CVE-2020- 12311

Yet another demonstration of why, regardless of context, one should not avoid updates issued by the various manufacturers.

Way more solutions in applying same than holding off, on the whole. And the ones that do cause problems, and they do happen, tend to get fixed quite promptly these days.

On a side note here seems newer asus motherboards and laptops are having issues with C-States after new bios updates supporting windows 11 they randomly shut down as linus had the same issue as well note some are being auto updated with windows update.
