Has anybody used or known anybody who has used her "Marketing Toolkit"? I just got a call from them about a seminar and I'm wondering if it is all that it is cracked up to be.

* Breaks out his magic wand and chants "Legal Legal Legal!!" * J/K. :)
It worked on me. Well, after I got laid off and saw my last company go down the drain, I decided to go legal. Call it God, karma, or whatever... The high theft of software (mainly XP Pro and some version of M$ Office) and a good company going to pot so quickly, it just didn't seem like it couldn't be connected. (Yes, the double negative was intentional.)

And back to the matter at hand... Robin Robins, anyone heard of her marketing kit?

Yes, as a matter of fact I have heard of her. I've attended one of her live presentations. She specializes in marketing for tech businesses and seems to favor those who resell Managed Services.

She does know marketing and she is not unfamiliar with the business side of IT. I first met her at an ASCII convention a few years ago. haven't signed up for her marketing toolkit but I've been on the mailing list for years and she's following me on Twitter, so it's hard to ignore her.

I wrote a blog entry on Robin Robins on my site about a month ago. If you want my honest opinion of her you can read it here.

I just read it. She seems to be a bit slow on the uptake with twitter but I won't fault her TOO much for that. I admit that I haven't joined it yet. I guess I have to see how it will really benefit me first.

Thanks!

I've just visited her Web site, and it looks like she really knows how to sell. The toolkit looks good, though I feel it's too pricey.

Absolutely. I mean, I can't see it being of any value to me. If you're in a primarily online marketplace then it makes loads of sense but if you're recruiting your customers mostly by other means then I fail to see the benefit.

Open to contracdiction:)
