Hey Guys, I have just purchased Pulseway RMM and I seem to find it pretty simple and effective. What other RMM software suggestions do you guys have?

We've been on N-Able for (now owned by Solarwinds) ..probably almost 10 years. Love 'em! Matured and very feature rich. You'll get a few dozen different answers, and you can find many similar threads already existing..already filled with answers, if you don't want to wait for this post to populate.

Really depends on how many endpoints you have *now* and how many you plan on having 6 - 12 months from now. Popular RMM platforms like n-able or Labtech have some pretty hefty minimums. If you're just starting out, you could do a lot worse than Pulseway. They've improved a lot in the last 6 months. Maxfocus and Atera are two others I would demo.

There's a number of different options available. @Matthew Bradley is correct to point out the need to be realistic in looking at what you have now vs. what you will have in 6-12 months. If you're just starting out you won't likely be able to handle the costs associated with the more mature platforms. The solutions you can financially handle are sure to be lacking in some significant ways, forcing you to either bring your own solution (backups, support for Mac's, etc.), or simply not offer that particular service. The lesser (for lack of a better term) RMM solutions all have weaknesses you may not find until there's something you need and don't have. A competing RMM may offer that particular something you need, but be lacking in another something you need that your current RMM does offer. In short, none of them that I've found offers everything I need, and won't until I get enough clients to support the cost of a more mature RMM.

The folks here are more than willing to help you, as they have me. I've found it helpful to try to get a sense of the size/type of their business. Doing so helps me understand their perspective a bit better when they offer help or suggestions, a context if you will. That context helps me as I consider what tools (such as an RMM) I want to upgrade next, and what my benchmark is for when I'm ready. Alternatively, you can also provide us with a similar context for your company so we can attempt to offer help that actually is help. Otherwise, we're just going to toss out whatever we think we might do...but we aren't you.

What an excellent response! :)

We're on N-Able and not looking to change (just re-upped for another year in fact), but if we were looking again I'd definitely be looking at Connectwise as well for what I've gotten the impression is a better unified RMM/PSA bundle. I've not ever really heard much that made me want to jump in with Solarwinds' MSP Manager PSA.

I suspect that N-Able wouldn't be a viable option until you had at least 100-150 endpoints under management.

Yeah I am literally just starting my business and actually I am starting it from my home. I get an average of 4 customers a week right now and I am wanting to give them this option. I hope to triple my business in 12 months but I would be ok with just doubling it with a majority of my customer base subscribed to managed services.
