I think the theory is that embiggen's roots are similar to embolden's.

In the way that someone may be emboldend and become bolder, something may be embiggened and become bigger.

So I accidentally spelled it right? Must be some of that high school English class still kicking around in there somewhere or something.

And that's exactly what that registry change fixes. Have you tried it?

No, I haven't. I just assumed the way you were talking that it was just the "lower left corner" thing. Actually, though, Windows 8.1 is the only OS I actually hate more than Windows 10, so it's not really "my problem". Although I do have an 8.1 upgrade code I never used from the short time they were selling them for $40, so maybe I will eventually install it. Just not with a touch pad and not without Classic Shell.
