Av comparatives is your friend. I use antivirussales a lot. Just remember to put the clients name in the notes box as you purchase. Then you have a record of who you sold it to.
Not forgetting my current fave emsisoft, which uses Bitdefender defs as well as it's own.

Having said this, it's entirely possible, in an infinite universe, that they may turn the corner someday and top the removal lists.
The boss of Norton has admitted they had "taken their eye off the ball" recently, so a revamped product could easily arise.
