Hi all, I got a laptop here (liquid spilt on it) the customer tried to open it up to dry it off and as destroyed the top of one of the screws. As anybody come up with a way of getting them out? other than breaking the cover and replacing it.
I got to say he's done a really good job on the screw nothing I got can get a grip.

you can use a tool and die set or you can pick up a small tool at home depot to remove stripped screws. You drill into the center of the screw and you use a reverse thread tool to unscrew it.

I've never seen an easy out for that size of screw. If you can find one that would be ideal. Otherwise I would use a Dremel to cut a slot in the screw and then use a small flat baded screw driver. You probably will cut the case a little but if is the bottom it shouldn't matter. You can also give the customer the option of you replacing the bottom case if it is important to him.
