Hello All
I have been trying out Mikogo as a remote assistance tool and i have done a test run on it. It seems pretty easy to use and easy for the client to access. Now my question is can someone tell me the best method to get the payment?I have merchantware setup so i can accept credit cards but the only thing is since mikigo doesnt prompt for payment should i direct them to a payment screen first? Only because i know some people once you have finished they might not pay. Any suggestions

Hey you are close to me! I'm in Charleston

I'd say setup a gateway on your website where they can pay. Or do a paypal link. I have always heard it is best to get the credit card number first before doing the work.

How are you handling it when you need to to remotely boot into safe mode?

For me, that's a must-have for a remote and, so far, TouchMyPC is winning for features vs. cost.

I never heard of the TouchMyPC. I will research that one. I was testing the Mikogo out because I saw on this site some people suggested it. Thanks for the tip

I travel to Charleston a lot. How is the clientele there because here there are pc repair technicians all over the place. So I try to reach out to different areas. The only difference is the prices that the other technicians offer their kind of pricey. I have a paypal link on my website but I was trying figure out a site that would link the remote assist to my website. Thanks for your suggestions

Holy moly, 1 year free. I'm on it.

Techs here are not in numbers. There are the general Craiglist weird cheapos. We have 1 main computer shop and a couple small time shops here and there.

Not a big saturation of good techs.

Looks like that offer expired 12/2010. Would have been sweet for me. May give it a try @ 50$ month. Mikogo tad bit slow clicking around.

I will try TouchMyPC software, I am new to remote support, call that girl has inspired me though, just need to figure out payment, I have square up on the cell phone so I thought I would just try that, I hat giving a higher rate for no card present.
