Sounds like a great program! I will have to check it out for sure. When is the .6 version coming out?

Has anyone done recent comparisons between this and others (fabrice stuff, datagrab, etc) ?

Just would like to know whats diff before spending too much time on it.

I should be releasing v0.5.0.6 very soon. It's been in internal testing for a while. I did not get the chance to finish all of the new additions I wanted to add to it yet. But it seems to be working very well.

Some of the latest fixes/features I have added into this up comming version:

Added: The ability to Backup/Restore while logged into a Limited Account. UAC was causing issues because it would forward all read write tasks into the Admin account that Gotcha was being run with instead of the currently logged in user.

Fixed: Backing up some features while running Gotcha within a Preinstallation Environment (Like LiveXP or MiniXP) would be unsuccessfull. Now all options that are possible to backup within a live environment can be backed up in a WinPE.

Added: Progress Bar now shows progress when Copying Large Files.

Added: Graphical Interface Update. Looks much nicer.

Once I finish some more Internal Testing I plan to make some tutorial videos and will be creating a new website specifically for Gotcha Data Backup. Then it will be released. Sorry for the delay.

^ this, exactly.

It looks really promising, but I would be interested in a proper comparison before considering changing from what I use now.

Back4sure, Back it Up !, some cool names in my opinion. Just tried it and is an awsome tool !

It's actually Gotcha! Data Backup. ;)

Not sure if you have my program mixed up with something else or you got the name wrong? Back4sure is a totally different type of backup program. It looks like your a basic file sync backup program. Gotcha DB is much more suited for the technician that needs certain key things backed up to prepare for an os reinstall or system transfer.
