I disagree, you can Google just about every problem and fix it for both Linux and Windows without having to reinstall. As both have huge userbases, someone's had you issue before and has solved it. And in my experience short of hardware failure it's all fixable.

Mac is pretty accurate though.

No but I've despaired and lost all hope, and then the next thing usually fixes it though. My pride seems like a sacrifice to the terminal gods.

Yeah, but with Linux, you'll have to type out five pages in terminal to fix the problem.
