Recovery DVD from Acer PQSERVICE partition

I'm working on an Acer Aspire 5000 which has the PQSERVICE recovery partition. Is there a way to make a DVD from this partition, preferably bootable, that will restore the factory installation image? There doesn't seem to be any software installed that will do it, as some manufacturers include. The owner has lost the original discs, and it would be nice to have a quick method for them to reinstall when the hard drive fails. Of course, I'm also going to recommend an external backup system of some sort, but not having to back up that partition as well would be one less thing for them to worry about.

Thanks,

Sky

Update: Sorry, it had been a couple of weeks since I had worked on it (client was out of town, incommunicado, and I couldn't resume work without a phone consultation), so it took a while to remember all I had done - I had tried the Alt+F10 bootup recovery program, but the option to make recovery discs was not available. I'm looking for another method if you know of one.
