QuickBooks for Non Profits vs QuickBooks Premier

My Church is in the process of switching to Quickbooks. The accountant for the Church wants to sell them QuickBooks for Non-Profits. I mentioned that they should use TechSoup and get it cheaper. Techsoup doesn't have Quickbooks for Non-Profits they have QuickBooks Premier.

I have heard conflicting reports that the product is the same thing or that QB Premier doesn't have as many features as QB for NP. Which is true?

Is Quickbooks Premier that exact same product as QB for Non Profits?

I've tried to find the answer on the Intuit website and it is no help.

But they have a boxed product that is only Non -Profit.

Is it really the same thing.? The accountant insists that it isn't.

When you install QB Premier...during the initial part of the installation you get a radio button choice of what specific category you want to install. Things like Contractor, Professional, Manufacturing..a few others...and...non-profit.

The reason for choosing the np over other options is the tool set. NP gives you tools to track donors and other things specific to npo. Contractor gives you job costing tools, etc.
