Please Recoment Some Good KVM Switches

I just got my Raritan MCCAT116 16 port KVM switch delivered today. I was looking for an 8 port on ebay and couldn't find anything with a decent price so for sh*ts grins I looked at 16 ports and this one started at $20. Did a little research and it looks like it retails around $1600-$1800. It was listed as company purchased but never setup as the company went out of business. All new in box. I got it for $71 shipped. So far it works great.

Wow, great deal, but it seems a little excessive. Why would you want a KVM with more than 4 or 8 ports?

It is certainly excessive, by about 8 ports, lol. I had a 4 port and always had 2 machines hooked to it. File server and bench machine which only left two available and wanted to upgrade to a 8 port but didn't see one for a decent price when I was looking on ebay and I happened to stumble across this and couldn't pass it up. I also uses Ethernet between the switch and end usb adapters which I like. It makes changing cable lengths very easy if need be.

you can never have too many ports lol, I fill 17 regularly! desktops that are on the bench fill up the KVM's

I guess my point is, why would you want to switch between 16 computers on one monitor? I would rather have 4 monitors and 4 KVM switches.

In fact, thats pretty much how my shop is set up now.
