A client wants to install large TV screens on all four display/conference room walls and have a different videos playing on each screen, preferably using one central computer.

Does anyone have any experience setting up such a system? I've seen the Matrox PCI-e x16 C420 video card and the USB 3.0 Plugable hub that can handle the signals, and I suspect that two video cards with 2 ports each will also do the trick, but what software is used to play this many video files at one time?

Thanks for any suggestions...

As a free option, I've used VLC media player to stream over a network to one computer , but I'm not sure if software absolutely MUST be installed on the machine receiving the signal, as I haven't experienced with VLC extensively; Not sure how a TV would be able to interact with VLC server, but I know that VLC does do multiple streams.

edit: If VLC doesn't do what you need it to do, maybe find a similar free software that's compatible with TVs.

Apple TV is very simple but you have to buy one per display, $100 each. Work's fine in Mac OS. Did a health club with 8 TV's running from one MacMini server. Not tested it in M$ but it is supposed to work as it uses iTunes to do the heavy lifting.
