What do you guys carry? Anyone here carry a concealed weapon? Like a Glock or a Smith and Wesson M&P?

Ruger LCP .380

In a thin leather pocket holster made for my front right pocket. I don't leave home without it.

You guys that carry guns, Do you really see the need for them? I mean, Do you live in some pretty bad areas or frequent them for repairs?

I support conceiled carry and all. Big supporter here. But I dont carry. We have a Taurus .357 mag in the home for protection. Kinda overkill but never had to use it.

Question comes to mind also I guess, Anyone ever held-up in their shop or doing a house call?

I carry a Kahr CW45 .45ACP in a pocket holster

I also have various shotguns and other handguns around the shop.

Im not in a absolutly bad area, but nowadays you can't be too carefull....

I've only once had to pull a shotgun, had a crazy customer send some folks to my shop to "kick my ***" Needless to say when I leveled my shotgun with their eyes, they got the point and left quickly....

Im shocked at the responses in this thread and the thread itself!

Perhaps it's because i'm from the UK and carrying a gun here will get you rushed by about 20 armed police.

It really doesn't suprise me :p

I have a baseball bat next to my bed and a mean Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who will lick any intruders into submission. :D

I agree, it's a mad situation, but they've always been able to do it so I guess it's normal for them.

We do love our guns

I honestly think the UK laws are weird

Cant... live in th eonly state in the U.S. without concelead carry laws. :(

That sucks, the only ones who suffer when then ban guns are the legal gun owners. Criminals don't give a $^!#

I used to.."on the job"....a long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.

Department used S&W 5906....coastal town on the ocean..salt water in the air...so stainless models.

Since then though? Nah...I don't carry. I support the right....I grew up with guns....reading my dads American Rifleman magazine, going to shooting ranges, my dad did a lot of competition shooting (pistols).

Just as much as I need to wear my seatbelt, have car insurance, have life insurance and medical insurance. Hope I never need it, but it does me no good if I don't have it when I need it.

I wouldn't say "overkill"....how can you be deader than dead? Have a punked up meth head break in and threaten your wife, daughter, son or self and you may wish for a 12 gauge shotgun. These kind don't feel pain and will only go down when they can no longer physically function.

Never held-up, accosted, or had to resort to pulling a gun on anyone.

AND I HOPE I NEVER WILL BE IN THAT POSITION.

But, I also hope I don't need to use my seatbelt or life insurance either.

Threaten my family with deadly or severe bodily harm and there is NO question what the outcome will be.

Threaten me.....probably the same outcome, but I may think about it for a second or two.

20 armed police who more than likely show up will after you or your loved ones have been killed. They will do an admirable job of covering the bodies and finding the culprit(s).

Not bashing the police....they do a GREAT job, just can't be everywhere at once.

Thank God I'm in the USA.
