Outlook "Suggested Search" missing.

Hey all.

I have a user who's Outlook search bar is missing the "Suggested Search" header / option entirely. (pic attached as example in red of what is just not there on this users Outlook). I have tried a basic repair of Office. no change. Tried re-indexing, no change. Ready to try creating a new user account. But before that, since i do not have access to the computer until Monday, any suggestions on what the issue or fix might be for this?

Microsoft: KB5008212 Windows security update breaks Outlook search

Microsoft has acknowledged an issue triggered by a Windows 10, version 21H2 security update released during the December 2021 Patch Tuesday that causes search issues in Outlook for Microsoft 365.

Following up. Created a new user, no change. Great find on the KB5008212. I did make the registry changes with high hopes but, sadly, also no change in behavior.

Whenever I have odd issues with M365, I just do an online repair so it can reinstall itself. Sometimes Office just gets hung up mid update or something, online repair forces it current then issues evaporate.
