Hi, I'm no expert on Outlook, having always preferred web mail services. However, I just installed more RAM, ran ccleaner and disabled some startups in a customer's old Gateway pc. He then decided to switch from outlook express to outlook, now he claims his outlook is taking too long to send/receive. Hinting, it may be something I had done- blah. Any ideas as to why outlook would be slower than express?

perhaps he had a bunch of emails on express. The switch to Outlook will need to re-download all of his messages off of the server! Once Outlook gets caught up in might work fine???
I kinda doubt that, he switched it over 2 days ago, the messages go eventually, he says it takes forever to contact server. I had him unload his charter communications antivirus and firewall temporarily, didn't help.
