SOLVED! Outlook 02 network password nag

Hi, I think I've run into this before, but I can't remember the fix. This time I have a new vista pc that I just set up his outlook acct. I imported his backed up pst file from his old pc. Everytime you open outlook a pop up opens asking for the network password, no matter what, it will not save, even in the mail settings. I tried safe mode, saving a new password, etc. Anybody know the fix?

Have you added the office service pack and updates?

Solved!

I just had him simply do this to stop the password popups:

open outlook, Do the following:

Tools>email accounts>(Highlight yours)>More Settings>Outgoing Server> check the box, "My outgoing server(smtp) requires
auth...." > Choose first radio button "Use same settings as my incoming server" and apply/ok to each window as you close them, restart outlook
