It has come to my attention in this thread, that Martyn has said in regard to Star Trek

Never watched it.

Please join me in one minute of silence to acknowledge the gravity of his tragic circumstances.

You may enter any words of condolence you wish to extend, below.

I demand a poll, I believe there are more of us but they are being suppressed by the masses ;) Please stand up and be counted :)

I could believe that if you were living on a remote tropical island, but I don't think England counts.

I don't consider myself to be a big fan, but at least I've watched some of it.

Speaking to the wrong generation pops . . . I more of a Stargate fan myself.

Martyn, life as you know it, will never be the same again my friend.

"Dear friends, our work here is over. We have enjoyed our stay, but the forces of reality and the demands of a normal sex life compel us to depart, may the force be with you … for me to poop on."

Martyn (+ some others) to be assimilated into the grounds of ST. Anyone wishing to back me up on this one??

Agree with martin

Although have seen it i do not see anything special about star trek.

lets see typical episode

arrive at a planet
beam a few down to planet
whoever not a main character almost certainly going to be killed
one of main charecters wil find an alien lover
ship has some engineering troubles or is attacked
captain makes some great decision to steer ship to safety
engineer gets everything back working just in time to beam them up from planet before all kiled.
the end

Same again next episode.

There Martin save you the boredom you have now seen the plot of evey star trek episode.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

save your space travel Sci FI for something good like red dwarf :p

Red Dwarf!?!?!?!, am I missing something here, that is in no way as good as ST!!.

Thinking you must be living on a different planet my friend :p:p

Star Trek was good, and I really enjoyed the Voyager series with the Borg and species 8472, but I was more into StarGate, I have them all including the films. When it comes to SciFi there isn't alot that I don't like. Battlestar Galactica was also great, both the old and the new series. Babylon 5 is also one of my favourites.

Hmmmm Amanda Tapping :D

I've never watched any of those program's mentioned, not one episode or film :) just have no interest in futuristic films or programs.

MMMMMMMM Seven of 9!!.

Anyone remember Spaceship 1999??, or what ever it was called, with the white spaceships, where you could just see the wires moving it around..
