One minute of silence for Martyn pease

It has come to my attention in this thread, that Martyn has said in regard to Star Trek

Please join me in one minute of silence to acknowledge the gravity of his tragic circumstances.

You may enter any words of condolence you wish to extend, below.

.

There are no proper words to fit such a tragedy in life ... I am so sorry for Martyn and his family ... my deepest sorrows.

I can't believe what I've been reading !

It's disgusting.

Techs who don't watch or even acknowledge some of the greatest theatre ever produced.

"Spaceship 1999" indeed. It's shocking.

Stargate. I have them all, and watch them all.

Star trek, with the ever doomed red sweatered security guards.

Ctrl-alt-delete forever renamed as the Vulcan Death grip.

Space 1999 with one of the coolest spaceships ever designed.

Blakes 7 with Servalan (Jackie Pearce).. Yum

Tpol, using any excuse to get her top off.
"Please massage that bio detergent gel into me if you would be so kind"!

7 of 9 and Captain Janeway who due to height limitations spent her time pontificating directly at 7's bosum.

Don't forget "star maidens" either.

COMPUTER TECHNICIANS
WE DON'T HAVE NORMAL LIVES,
WE GAVE THEM UP LONG AGO !

To suggest otherwise is abomination
Embrace the inner geek..

There was a UK sitcom on a few years ago called " Men Behaving Badly", in which one episode took the mickey out of Star Trek. (series 6, Episode 4).
It was mentioned that as a kid, one of the characters thought that the captains log was an actual wooden log.

So did I.

Series 4, episode 6 is also a good one. If you don't laugh, then you are already beyond hope.

stargate > star trek. I've only seen bits and pieces, but not really a fan.
Yes, but

Farscape > Stargate > Star Trek > Star Wars.

Yeah, I said it. (Stargate did itself a great favour by bringing Browder and Black onboard. Those two had possibly the best on-screen chemistry of any couple I've ever seen. Almost a shame they didn't let that play in Stargate when they came over.)

For me, it's Sex and the City.
You should feel bad about yourself, Lisa.

Maybe I'm old school but The original Series Star Trek was and is always my favorite. And btw ... kirk was always the man ... the only SciFi hero to bag a green chick :p even at 5 years old I knew that was epic.

So my preferences are Star Trek TOS> Star Wars> ST: DS9 > ST: Next Generation> ST: Voyager> over everything else.

Supercar !

Brilliant ....... And Fireball XL5 with Steve Zodiac and Zoony.

UFO was mentioned earlier, space suited aliens skulking around deserted forests.

A perfect example of how sound effects can emote. It scared the absolute crap out of me..

Prime candidate for a remake.

(it was scheduled for an extra season, but it was cancelled and the already-built sets turned into Space 1999).

Still a Stargate fan myself . . . Wish they had not screwed up Stargate Universe though

OK, so your ranking is debatable, but not crazy... until the end where you put Voyager above all other sci-fi. That, my friend, is criminally insane.

rofl .... yeah I actually only watched the first couple seasons of Voyager ... mainly just put it at the bottom of my list due to it being a Star Trek product...

Whats funny is I dont think anyone included ST: Enterprise in their list even tho I did see some mention of T'Pol ... I just could never get into it even tho T'Pol is smokin :D
