@YeOldeStonecat That's just it, they weren't real OEMs, they were marked as such but priced the same as retail. Because once that software is locked to an account, there is no distinction. And there's no way to remove it. I've got a BUCKET of Office 2013 out there on those accounts marked with Dell or Lenovo names. And associated spreadsheets full of keys mapped to computers! There's no indication about the limitation of status on the office.com side, no way to segregate each key from the next, literally no indication from Microsoft at all. The only difference between the Lenovo OEM sheets and retail? The Lenovo codes can be used directly to activate! No account required! That crap got dumped really quickly, but it's still working!
So in its current state if OEM MS Office isn't transferable, and retail is, Microsoft has left everyone with zero ability to actually manage it. The code unlocks the same seat you get on office.com as what you get if you buy from the Microsoft store.
