office 2007 icons missing

seemed to help by doing the following
by opening up explorer, selecting a library, going into Properties in the File Menu and selecting Use Check Boxes. I then came out and went to the desktop icons, selected Properties and then the Change Icon buttons were no longer greyed out and I was then able to select the icon. I then pinned that shortcut to the taskbar and everything has been fine since.

I'm looking at your old posts and you seem to be asking questions fit for Yahoo Answers: "Can the Koobface virus be removed?" "How to uninstall Office?"
